Behavioural Technology Group
Behavioural Technology Group was developing two concurrent digital products: TradeStek — a web and mobile platform for builders and tradespeople to manage staff, track locations, and monitor job safety — and Sanctuary, a browser-based adventure and RPG game. Both required UI design from wireframe through to final visual design, with rapid iteration and close collaboration with development teams. I joined as Creative Designer and was promoted to Design Lead within five months.
Alongside the product UI work, I developed the brand identity for Behavioural Technology Group itself — logo, colour palette, typography, and a stationery suite that positioned the company credibly in the technology sector. The identity needed to feel innovative yet trustworthy, reflecting the company’s mission to apply behavioural technology across both enterprise and consumer contexts.

TradeStek’s web interface needed to feel professional and approachable for a non-technical user base — builders and tradespeople who needed to manage staff, track locations in real time, and respond quickly to safety alerts. I designed the website and the core web application layout, prioritising clarity and ease of use. Clean visual hierarchy, clear calls to action, and a responsive layout ensured the platform worked across office and site-based use.

The TradeStek mobile app was the primary field-facing product — used by trades workers and their managers to track staff locations, manage job assignments, and respond to safety events in real time. I designed the full app UI across login, staff selection, live map tracking, and worker detail screens. The interface prioritised speed and clarity in field conditions, with large touch targets, minimal cognitive load, and clear status indicators.

Sanctuary was a browser-based adventure and RPG game requiring a completely different visual language — immersive, illustrated, and playful. I designed the UI components including the HUD elements, character profile, minimap, action bars, chat interface, and menu screens, ensuring they felt integrated with the game’s 3D art direction rather than sitting on top of it. I also contributed to the visual art direction of the game world, maintaining consistency between the environment and the UI layer.

Both products shipped to market with positive user feedback on interface usability and visual quality. My promotion from Creative Designer to Design Lead within five months reflected the impact of my work on both design quality and team process. The component library I created was used as a foundation for subsequent feature development. Working directly with the CTO and CEO, I facilitated design reviews at each milestone and managed priorities and delivery timelines across both products simultaneously.
